Acadiana West Animal Clinic is incredibly excited to expand our team! We opened our doors back in 1989 and are still growing strong as ever. Our practice philosophy is to put pets first, but never forget that there is an entire family that comes with that pet. We strive to practice high-quality medicine at an affordable price, and we also make it a priority to ensure that our staff is able to enjoy a rewarding career both emotionally and financially.

We are currently a two-doctor practice, and we are thrilled to be seeking a new addition to the family. Our founding DVM, Dr. Olivier, has 40+ years of experience and was a past president of the Louisiana Veterinary Medical Association. For any new graduates with interest in our opening, she would offer awesome mentorship with her decades of knowledge. The majority of our caring and committed support staff have also been with us for many many years and we utilize them to the fullest.

Our ideal candidate would have an interest in soft tissue surgery and dentistry as well as a willingness to learn ultrasound. Our office hours are from 8:00 am-6:00 pm M-F, 8:00 am-12:00 pm on Saturday, and we are closed on Sundays. Our doctors rotate to work 1-2 Saturdays per month.

About the area: Marrero is located just outside of New Orleans along the west bank of the Mississippi River. The area is beautiful, surrounded by bayous, marshes, forests, and miles of boardwalks and trails. We have amazing plant and animal life to observe and appreciate. The community is lively with plenty of cultural venues, restaurants, and other fun activities. It’s a safe and great place to settle down, with plenty of highly rated schools in the area.
